Messages and spiritual transformation
A dramatic consequence of many abductions is what Professor Mack called âontological shockâ. For example, a person who is convinced that mankind is alone in the Universe, or that they are watched over by a heavenly God, might be forced reconsider these beliefs and admit that there are other intelligences that dominate us as they wish by using a far superior technology without asking our permission,. Not a few of the abducted said that they had the feeling of contact with a âhigher cosmic consciousnessâ. Some of them even felt the need to join or even form sects of likeminded people who worship extra-terrestrials. There are people who, after being abducted, become emotionally isolated and get a sense of alienation from those around them, or have the feeling that they are somehow âdifferentâ than other people and start to have family problems: sometimes they just wonder if they have gone crazy.
Many of those abducted, including some I met in Romania, reported that the aliens showed them apocalyptic events: âScenes of the Earth devastated by a nuclear holocaust, vast panoramas of lifeless, polluted landscapes and waters and apocalyptic images of giant earthquakes, firestorms, floods and even fractures of the planet itself are shown by the aliens. These are powerfully disturbing to the abductees, who tend to experience them as literally predictive of the future of the planet.â[32] Sometimes, these highly emotional displays are shown to very sensitive people and they are told that the Earth belongs to more than just human beings and the visions that depict an imaginary the end of the world are reminiscent of the Book of Revelation.
Some people have said that â during their abductions â they have been shown everything from romantic, sexually charged images to very ordinary things. They had the impression that the aliens watched their reactions to these images very closely. More generally, the testimonies speak of procedures, conscious or unconscious, of indoctrination and suggestion as well as both extracting and introducing information into their brains, possibly using devices connected to the brain. Dr. David Jacobs also talked also about a procedure he called a âmind-scanâ[33]. Some people remembered that they were told that the information received during abduction was either secret (I have also investigated such a case), or that the subject would only remember it âat the right timeâ.
As Mack remarked, after the abduction the witnesses suffer a dramatic spiritual change. They realised that human beings are not the âlords of the Earthâ, but children of the cosmos who must find their way to live in harmony with all manner of creatures on the Earth and elsewhere.[34] As an interesting aside, many of the abductees become highly concerned with pacifist and ecological issues and acquire a deep sense of love for the planet Earth and all the creatures on it. It is often a love that is accompanied by a revolt against the destruction that our species has caused to the environment.
As Jacques Vallée mentioned in a 2014 interview for Ovnis-Direct.
